Revive: Yoga Nidra [in studio & virtual]

Our yoga experiences feature an herb of the month, incorporated into a short tea ceremony at the start of your class.

Yoga Nidra literally means yogic sleep and is a restorative practice of moving awareness from our external world to the inner world. It has been shown that one hour of Yoga Nidra is as restorative as four hours of sleep! In this semi-private class, your practitioner will intuitively guide you into a deep state of conscious relaxation that helps your senses, intellect, and mind relax.

This relaxing, restorative experience is perfect for anyone wishing to reduce stress and calm a busy brain. It begins with a guided tea meditation featuring the herb of the month. Yoga Nidra will follow and is open to all levels, as it requires no yoga poses, just you! What's better than a relaxing sleep meditation paired with joyful, relaxing herbs? Each plant has its own energetic healing vibration; perfect for pairing alongside Yoga Nidra. Leave feeling restored and calm.

Yin Yoga [In Studio & Virtual]

Featured herb - Thyme

Our yoga classes feature an herb of the month, incorporated into a short tea ceremony at the start of your class.

Yin yoga is a slower-paced, meditative type of yoga practice used to down-regulate the nervous system, which can trigger the fight-or-flight or digest-and-rest response in the body. This practice utilizes asanas (poses) to tap into deep connective tissue, targeting the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of asana practice, like the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. These tissues respond quite differently to being exercised in this yin style of yoga compared to more traditional yoga flows.

An eyes-closed intuitive and subtle body practice, poses are held between 2-5 minutes. Yin yoga is suitable for anybody!

Yin Yoga is also the perfect complement to the dynamic and more muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. If you have only experienced traditional (yang) yoga up until now, you will realize that you have been doing only half of the asana practice after trying Yin yoga!
