Cicely Everson is the owner of Tao Holistics and co-founder of the International Academy of Mind-body Medicine. She began her journey in holistic health circa 2002 after researching cosmetic ingredients, only to find what she had been using daily contained toxic chemicals. After dealing with breakouts and chronic eczema for several years, Cicely realized it was time to do something different. She began creating and sampling natural formulas to family and friends, and after receiving positive reviews, decided to launch a retail skincare line (then Issa Qattara). She later became a licensed Esthetician in 2007 and began to advance her formulating skills.

In 2010, while teaching middle school by day and making products during her free time, Cicely began to feel unlike herself - chronic (full body) hives after eating, mood changes, fatigue, depression, and adrenal dysfunction. She started working with a former customer who was a holistic practitioner, and within a week of taking natural hormones, her mood improved. By six months, nearly every symptom she had, disappeared. She wasn’t back to baseline - she was better! Cicely was on the path toward restored health and that’s when it hit her - this had to become her life’s work - to help others heal and reverse the signs of biological aging, naturally.

Today, Cicely manages her boutique functional medicine studio & herbal apothecary in Lewes, Delaware and is the facilitator of her course, Herbal Alchemy, clinical herbalism for aspiring practitioners.
